I’m based in Manchester and want something reliable but still interesting to drive. I was originally looking at a Mk8 Civic Type S, but now I’m drifting toward imports because the specs seem better for the money. Been seeing a few Toyota Crown hybrids, Honda Stepwgns, and even some older Subaru Legacys popping up with decent auction grades. Main things I’m worried about are: Insurance on imports in the UK Parts availability Rust underneath from Japanese cars arriving here Whether mileage can actually be trusted MOT headaches with imported models The Best Japanese imports for UK buyers always seem to depend on whether you want comfort, reliability, or something fun, and I can’t decide where to compromise.
